Adjustments to FIBA Asia Calendar 2020-2021

 

The following are changes to the FIBA Asia Calendar as per FIBA Asia Board meeting held on 21 July 2020, in light of the COVID-19 situation:

1. To postpone FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship and reschedule it during January-April 2021 period. The dates will be coordinated with the host national federation, Basketball Sport Association of Thailand.

2. To postpone FIBA U18 Asian Championship and reschedule it during January-April 2021 period. The dates will be coordinated with the host Basketball Federation of India.

3. To cancel the Qualification Rounds for FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2021. Accordingly, the scheduled games for Window 1 in Nov. 2020 and Window 2 in Feb. 2021 will not take place.  FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2021 will be played as scheduled with the format it was used to be played in its previous editions.
