BCLS + AED

Course Overview

The Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS + AED) course is for both healthcare professionals and member of the public who wishes to advanced their skills in the management of an adult, child and infant cardiac arrest victim.

Participants will also get to learn on the management of a choking victim (conscious and unconscious).

This course is available in both Blended and Face to Face lessons and is accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC).

For Healthcare Professionals, you may be able to claim your Continuing Professional Education (CPE) points after successfully attending this course.


Objectives

At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  1. Understand chain of survival
  2. Perform CPR effectively on an adult and infant cardiac arrest victim
  3. Initiate the talking protocol for conscious and unconscious adult and infant casualty
  4. Initiate the use of an AED independently


Training Duration
  • 8 hours F2F lessons, OR
  • Blended learning: 1.5 hours self directed learning + 6.5 hours classroom practical and assessment.
