The inaugural NYDP Combine aims to identify, benchmark, and select promising young basketball players with the potential to excel in Singapore’s National Youth Development Pathway. It provides a standardised platform to assess athletes’ technical skills, physical attributes, game understanding, and coachability through both testing and gameplay. It supports progression into U21/U23 and senior national teams (3×3 and 5v5), and complements existing school and competition structures. Purpose of the inaugural NYDP Combine Establish a transparent, evidence-informed baseline for Talent ID and development planning. Updated: 12 Jan 2026, 2.45pm Report: BAS Successfully Conducts Fresh Board Election Basketball Association of Singapore (BAS) has successfully conducted its fresh election for Board Members on 17 January 2026 at 3.00 pm, held at the BAS Conference Room, for the Board tenure covering 2025 to 2028. The preparation and conduct of the Extraordinary Ordinary General Meeting (EOGM) election were overseen by an independent Election Committee, with guidance provided by the BAS Legal Advisor, the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC), and Sport Singapore (SportSG). The voting process was carried out fairly and transparently and in the presence of official observers from FIBA, SNOC, SportSG, and the Vice President of Singapore Athletics, ensuring full compliance with constitutional requirements. The management of BAS sincerely thanks the honourable observers from FIBA, SNOC, SportSG, and Singapore Athletics, as well as the Election Committee members and the Legal Advisor, for their time, commitment, and guidance in ensuring that the election process was conducted in accordance with the Constitution. The Starlight International Youth Basketball Open (SIYBO) returns for its highly anticipated third edition this year. Organized by Touchdown Sports Pte Ltd, SIYBO 2025 will take place from August 15 to 17 at Bukit Canberra ActiveSG Sport Hall, Singapore, welcoming top youth basketball talents from around the world to compete and connect through basketball.
