The inaugural NYDP Combine aims to identify, benchmark, and select promising young basketball players with the potential to excel in Singapore’s National Youth Development Pathway. It provides a standardised platform to assess athletes’ technical skills, physical attributes, game understanding, and coachability through both testing and gameplay.

Note:
- Each NYDP Combine attendee will receive one set of jersey (top and bottom) for the two-day event.
- Lunch will be provided; attendees are advised to bring their own water bottle.
U19 National Youth Development Programme (NYDP) and NYDP Combine (Overview)
- What National Youth Development Programme (NYDP)?
- NYDP is Singapore’s U19 national development pathway, bridging school/club basketball into the national system, anchored at SSP.
- It focuses on building a consistent high-performance environment: coaching, physical preparation, athlete behaviours, and performance processes.
- It supports progression into U21/U23 and senior national teams (3×3 and 5v5), and complements existing school and competition structures.
- Purpose of the inaugural NYDP Combine
- Establish a transparent, evidence-informed baseline for Talent ID and development planning.
- Profile athletes using a structured blend of objective testing + basketball observation.
- Create a longitudinal dataset to track progression across cohorts and improve decision-making over time.
