Standard First Aid + AED
The 16 hours standard first aid plus AED certification course equip the participant with the essential knowledge in the management of common injuries as well as sports injuries. This Standard first aid + AED course also include hands-only CPR + AED program to manage out of hospital cardiac arrest victim. This SFA + AED course is also a prerequisite for all sports coaches and exercise professionals in Singapore to attain or renew their coaching license under SportSg.
This course is available in both Blended and Face To Face lessons and is accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) , recognized by the national registry of coaches (NROC) and SportSg.
OBjectives
At the end of the course, participants should be able to:
- Introduction to first aid
- Management of breathing emergencies, wound Management and musculoskeletal injury
- Management of an unconscious casualty
- Management of other common injuries such as burn and poisoning
- Using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
- Handling burns and electrical injuries
- Hands only CPR + AED
Training Duration
- 16 hours F2F lessons, OR
- Blended learning: 6 hours self directed learning + 10 hours classroom practical and assessment.
