Basic First Aid + AED
The 8 hours Basic First Aid + AED course is for CERT members or member of the public to learn to manage common medical emergencies.
This course is available in both Blended and Face To Face lessons and is conducted by Basketball Association of Singapore. CPR ( Hands Only) + AED portion of this course is accredited by SRFAC.
OBjectives
At the end of the course, participants should be able to:
- Initiate basic first aid for common medical problems and emergencies
- Identify the signs and symptoms of common medical emergencies
- Immobilization of fractures and dislocation
- Perform Hands Only CPR and initiate the use of an AED
Training Duration
- 8 hours F2F lessons, OR
- Blended learning: 2 hours self directed learning + 6 hours classroom practical and assessment.
