BAS U23 Men’s and Women’s Tournament (NEW!)
In recognition of the need to provide better transition path from youth to the senior level, BAS are launching a new premier tournament to add to your annual calendar! In conjunction with recent the establishment of U23 National Youth Teams, this new U23 tournament creates more playing opportunities for the age group and a platform for athletes from all communities living in Singapore to showcase their talent and prove their readiness to compete at the senior level. ANTA AiRENA BAS Youth Cup 2026
It’s that time of the year again! The premier youth tournament with the longest history in Singapore, where the best U18 athletes gather to challenge themselves against strong opponents to claim the Youth Cup title. Download the official Youth Cup handbook here for the rules and regulations. ADDENDUM made on 6 May 1330 hr:Clause 5.5 –Exception: school coaches are allowed to coach for a club in the same category. Clause 5.6 –Exception: players registered by their schools are allowed to participate in a different category for a club. NBA Rising Stars Invitational 2026
NBA Rising Stars Invitational is set to return to this June. Held at OCBC Arena this time, the action will tip off on 22 June with the finals being held on 28 June. Once again, high schools from across the Asia-Pacific who have won qualifiers in their own country will get a chance to pit their skills against the top U18 school teams in the region. In 2025, A Division Champions Anglo-Chinese Junior College (Boys) and Hwa Chong Institution (Girls) repped the Little Red Dot on this big stage. This year, while we await the outcome of the ongoing National Schools Games to see who will emerge champion and punch their ticket to the NBA Rising Stars Invitational, three other U18 teams have stepped up to vie for the second spot in this tournament. As the host country, Singapore gets to send two teams from each gender to take part. The non-A Division teams vying for the second slot are: Boys Girls 1 ITE ITE 2 Nanyang Polytechnic Nanyang Polytechnic 3 UWC Dover UWC East UWC Dover have already had a taste of what is like to compete in such as arena, being the second boys team to represent Singapore in 2025’s edition of this tournament. Will the juniors who haven’t graduated be able to head back to the stage and take care of unfinished business from last year? Find out as these teams match up on 4, 8 and 11 May, 2026 at the Singapore Basketball Centre. Girls game starts at 7.30pm and boys games starts at 9pm. Admission is free. SIYBO 2025
The Starlight International Youth Basketball Open (SIYBO) returns for its highly anticipated third edition this year. Organized by Touchdown Sports Pte Ltd, SIYBO 2025 will take place from August 15 to 17 at Bukit Canberra ActiveSG Sport Hall, Singapore, welcoming top youth basketball talents from around the world to compete and connect through basketball. Since its debut in 2023, SIYBO has rapidly grown into one of Asia’s leading youth basketball tournaments, combining elite competition with cultural exchange, education, and community engagement. BAS Youth Cup 2024 – Revised Rules & Regulations (R&R), as at 10 May 2024
Basketball Association of Singapore is happy to announce BAS Youth Cup 2024 is BACK! After listening to the feedback from the members, the Board of BAS has reviewed the R&R and made the following changes: 1. Removed the U12 category. (Nevertheless, if there are enough teams interested to play, you may write in the BAS) 2. Revised the Registration fees to $600 (Member) & $700 (Non-member). 3. Removed the conditions for teams to wear Rigorer jerseys. 4. Players can only take part in maximum TWO (2) different categories within the same club/academy. 5. The Team draw will be conducted on 20 May 2024, 8PM. 6. Closing date of Registration postponed to 13 May 2024, 1700hrs. 7. Players participating in higher age group must provide parent consent letter to play at the particular age group. 8. Invoice will be issued upon registration closure. Full payment of the registration fee must be made by 19 May 2024. 9. Teams can register up to a maximum of 2 players who do not hold Singapore citizenship (pink NRIC). These players must either be a Permanent Resident, or they must hold a valid Student Pass/Student Concessional Card issued by the MOE, Polys, ITEs or International School in Singapore, or Dependent’s pass / Long-Term visit pass / Immigration Exemption Order. Rigorer Youth Cup 2023 – Final
The Rigorer Youth Cup 2023 Final will be held this coming weekend, 24th & 25th of June. There are 3 different categories, u14/u16/u18, which will be sold separately by session at $4 each. Of course, there is a $10 per whole-day session as well.
