Singapore has embarked on a three-year partnership with FIBA (Fédération Internationale de Basketball) to host the FIBA Intercontinental Cup as the competition reaches Asia in a historical first. The Singapore Indoor Stadium is destined to become the first-ever venue in Asia to host the FIBA Intercontinental Cup from September 21-24, 2023. Catch world-class basketball action as six international teams battle it out for the coveted title at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Teams competing are Basketball Champions League winners Telekom Baskets Bonn, Basketball Champions League Americas winners Sesi Franca, Basketball Africa League champions Al Ahly, and NBA G League Ignite. Representing the Chinese Basketball Association, Zhejiang Golden Bulls will be the fifth team, and Al Manama from Bahrain, winner of the FIBA West Asia Super League, received an invitation to complete the line-up. The Rigorer Youth Cup 2023 Final will be held this coming weekend, 24th & 25th of June. There are 3 different categories, u14/u16/u18, which will be sold separately by session at $4 each. Of course, there is a $10 per whole-day session as well. The U16 National Girls Trials is coming soon! BAS and ActiveSG Basketball Academy are collaborating and conducting the trial at Singapore American School at the date of 6th May 2023 (3:30PM – 7:30PM) to 7th May 2023 (9:00AM – 1:00PM). Selected players have the chance to participate in FIBA ASIA CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION B at Amman , Jordan (10th July 2023 to 16th July 2023). BAS Basketball Referee Course – Level 2 is now open for registration! The BAS Basketball Level 2 Referee Course is designed for individuals who wish to take up officiating and table duties for our local basketball games. They will be trained in the concepts and general provisions of the basketball game, refereeing knowledge, as well as the 3 main table roles required for our local games: the Scorer, the Timer and the Shot Clock Operator. Participants who complete the course will be eligible to officiate in most of our local games endorsed by BAS. Course Details: Dates & Time : 14th November to 3rd December 2022 (All dates are required to attend) Weekdays (7pm-10pm): 14th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 28th, 30th November 2022 Weekends (9am-1pm): 3rd December 2022 Venue : Singapore Basketball Centre (SBC) Course Pre-requisites: 1.
