Call for Applications: National Team Coaches The Basketball Association invites applications for the following positions under our National Selection & Development (S&D) Framework: U16 National Team Coach (Boys & Girls) U23 National Team Coach (Men & Women) Senior National Team Coach (Men & Women) These roles are integral to our structured national pathway, ensuring alignment across age groups and supporting the principle of Right Player, Right Role, Right System. Key Responsibilities Athlete Development Deliver structured, periodised training programmes aligned to LTAD principles Monitor performance benchmarks and athlete progression Provide training plans Selection & Talent Identification Assist and apply clear, merit-based selection criteria Contribute to scouting and regional talent identification efforts Support transition of athletes between pathway stages System & Coach Development Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and coaching clinics Mentor emerging coaches within the pathway Contribute to national coaching curriculum development Competition & Representation Lead teams in regional and international competitions Model professionalism and national values Requirements Relevant coaching certification (Level 1/2/3 or equivalent preferred) Experience in youth or high-performance environments Strong understanding of long-term athlete development Ability to work within a structured national framework Commitment to collaborative leadership and system growth Application Submission Interested applicants should submit: Coaching CV Coaching philosophy (aligned to development pathway) Proposed 1-year outline plan for the respective age group We seek coaches who are committed to building sustainable success — developing athletes, strengthening the system, and elevating the national standard of basketball.
