Public Statement on Match Fixing in BCL Asia 2025
On 20 May 2026, the FIBA Disciplinary Panel released a decision involving two foreign-import players previously registered to a local basketball club in Singapore. The decision named the two players as Oleksandr Kolchenko and Sergii Pryimak, and named the club as Adroit Basketball Club. Both players were found to have manipulated the club’s game against New Taipei Kings International, and Oleksandr Kolchencko was found to have further manipulated the club’s game against Hi Tech Club, during the Champions League East Asia back in May 2025. FIBA’s decision was to impose a lifetime ban on these two players from participating in any FIBA or FIBA-related activities, whether in the capacity of a player or otherwise. This lifetime ban applies to BAS’ activities as well. In line with FIBA’s strict stance on the matter, BAS takes a serious view of these unacceptable actions which have severely undermined the principles of fair play and impacted the reputation of Singapore basketball. Clubs and athletes representing Singapore basketball are expected to uphold the highest standards of fair play and the integrity of the sport. BAS does not condone any actions that could undermine this commitment and we will continue to actively monitor all sanctioned tournaments and events. BAS maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against match-fixing, and we will not hesitate to take disciplinary action against anyone found to have compromised fair play.
U16 Boys National Team Trial (b. 2011, 2012, 2013)
Trials for the U16 RTC (Select Squad preparing for SEAB U16 Qualifiers in 2026) will be held over the following dates: Trial session 1 12 July (Sun) – 2 pm to 8 pm, Court 1 & 2 Singapore Basketball Centre. Trial session 2 18 July (Sat) – Court 1 – 1 pm to 6 pm, Court 2 – 3 pm to 8 pm, Singapore Basketball Centre. Duration may vary based on actual number of participants on the day. Players who signed up using the link provided earlier will be informed which session they should attend. If you are unable to attend your assigned session, please reply to the invitation email to give your reason and make alternative arrangements. Youth Cup Pop-up Stalls – Request for Proposals
Call for Proposals to operate Pop-Up Stalls at BAS ANTA – AiRENA Youth Cup 2026 The premier event for youth basketball is set to kick off in June 2026 and stretching into mid-July for the U18 finals. BAS is inviting vendors for snacks, drinks, products and services that serve youth athletes to liven up the atmosphere for the Youth Cup but setting up pop-up stalls in designated areas in and around the competition arena. Vendors can opt to set-up during the regular season games and/or during the days when the Grand Finals will be played for each age group (u14/u16/u18) where more space will be allocated for pop-up stalls, food carts and/or vending machines.
