Registration for SG-Coach Level 1 Integrated Basketball Coaching Course (Nov 2019)
Registration for the SG-Coach Integrated Level 1 Basketball will be opened from 16 October (Wednesday) to 29 October (Tuesday) 2019! (Or when all 30 slots are filled) The course will provide each learning coach with a basic knowledge of basketball and the necessary coaching skills and is the first level of coaching qualification for individuals who wish to commit to coaching the sport. The course fee is $600 and will be held from 11 November (Monday) to 11 January 2020 (Saturday). The Values and Principles in Sports (VPS) module is a compulsory session and all participants must attend minimally 80% of sessions to be eligible for the written and practical assessments. Application Open for National Coach Positions The Coaching & Development (C&D) Committee of Basketball Association of Singapore (BAS) would like to invite all interested and qualified coaches to apply for the following positions for the National Youth Select Squad/ Team. Recruitment Period: 3 to 18 October 2019 (6.00pm). Positions: Assistant Coach for U14 Boys Head Coach for U16 Boys Head Coach & Assistant Coach for U18 Boys Head Coach for U14 Girls Job Dimensions: This is a part-time Position. The respective role will work under the supervision of C&D Committee. All coaches for the respective training squads are required to provide regular reports to the Coaching & Development Committee with regards to players’ performance. Coaches are expected to submit seasonal training plans taking into consideration school examinations, preparation for international competitions and overseas training trips. Application: Applications are required as a Word or PDF document inclusive of a cover letter, copies of basketball coaching certificates, testimonials, two-year training plan and a CV that addresses the selection criteria.
