SINGAPORE - Excitement is already building for the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2024, which is poised to kick off in spectacular style, marking the beginning of an exciting year for the world's number one urban team sport.For the third straight edition, the vibrant city of Singapore will host the premier 3x3 tournament in Asia from March 27-31, 2024. The games will be played at the Singapore Sports Hub, a venue that has staged numerous renowned sports events, with the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup standing out for its particularly electrifying atmosphere, placing it high among the most memorable experiences.The 2024 edition of the Asia Cup will effectively launch a major year for 3x3, which will be headlined by the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. In what might have been the greatest ever Asia Cup final, Mongolia snapped powerhouse Australia's 24-game winning streak in the event after superstar Anand Ariunbold hit an all-time buzzer-beater.Their victory marked Mongolia’s second title, with their first in 2017, while Australia will be looking for revenge as they bid for a record-extending fourth title. The only other country that has tasted gold in the men's is Qatar, who won the first Asia Cup in 2013.In the women's tournament, Australia had an irresistible run.
